About Carrie Fernow

Carrie is a highly skilled professional hair stylist and makeup artist and has worked extensively over the past decade in NYC with over 20 years of experience in the industry. She began her career at the young age of 17 working at Cutler Salon in NYC where she discovered her passion for styling hair. Carrie’s impressive portfolio includes styling hair for numerous NY Fashion Weeks on Redken’s Editorial Team, Serving as a Personal Hair Stylist for Celebrities, 1st Ladies, Musicians and More, creating hair & makeup looks for clients in various media formats such as Commercials, Advertising, Live and Episodic Television, Music, Book and Press Tours.

Carrie's talent has been recognized with Emmy Award Nomination’s for Outstanding Achievement in Hairstyling in 2012 & 2014 during her time as the Hair Department Head for The Rachael Ray Show. She recently spent 2 years on tour styling hair and make up with The Eagles “Hotel California Tour”. In addition to her work in television, Carrie is also a Journeyman Union member of IATSE local 798 Hair and Make Up Union.

Carrie has recently moved back to her roots and now resides in MN with her daughter. They enjoy spending time with family, lake days, wake surfing and mountain biking to name a few. Carrie is also the owner of Destination Beauty which is an On location Hair & Make Up service company that specializes in Weddings & Events .
